Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be initially assessed by the Editorial Board to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be in compliance will be forwarded accordingly for peer reviewing, before reaching the final decision of acceptance or rejection.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as images, photos, tables and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the author’s country.

The Editorial Board may reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the article structure and research arguments are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Peer Review Process

The Editorial Board employs a double-blind peer review process, which includes the following steps:

1. Initial Assessment: Editors first evaluate all submitted manuscripts to ensure they align with the journal's subject and requirements.
2. External Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are sent to at least two external experts in the relevant field for review. This double-blind process ensures that neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other's identities.
3. Feedback and Recommendations: Reviewers' comments, along with any recommendations for revisions, are communicated to the authors. The editors then inform the authors whether their manuscript is accepted without revisions, requires revisions and resubmission, or is rejected.
4. Review Timeline: The double-blind peer review process typically takes 30-40 days.

Reviewers are advised against uploading manuscripts to language model software or using other similar technologies to prevent breaches of confidentiality.

Additionally, the Editorial Board requests reviewers to confirm the absence of any conflicts of interest either at the selection stage or upon receipt of the manuscript. If a conflict of interest arises during the review process, the reviewer must notify the editorial office and decline to review the manuscript. In such cases, the editorial board follows the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as TECHNOLOGY CENTER PC® is a member of COPE.

Types of Articles

The "Chorografies" is open to contributions on a themed call. Special issue proposals should be sent directly to the Editorial Board for assessment.  Individuals interested in proposing topics or assuming the role of guest editors are encouraged to reach out to the Editors for detailed guidelines regarding special issues.

The journal seeks contributions on the following type of papers:

• Research papers
• Design or planning case studies
• Review article

Information for Authors

Authors are asked to check if the text meets the following criteria. Manuscripts that do not meet the editorial requirements may be rejected. Submission of the text is tantamount to a declaration of the original nature of the scientific article.

• The work has not been published in print or in electronic form in another journal or monograph in Greece or any other country in the past.
• The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or Rich Text document file format.
• Where possible, reference URLs have been provided.
• The text uses the font – Myriad Pro, size 11, spacing 1.5.
  italics are used instead of underlines (except for URLs), all illustrations, figures and tables are placed in the text in appropriate places.
• The text and bibliography comply with the editorial requirements described in the Author Guidelines for authors, which are in force in the journal.
• The text submitted for review does not contain data about the author in accordance with the principle of double-blind review described in the instructions included in the requirements for the Author "Ensuring a double-blind review"

References are included in the text as well as citations, following the editorial standards according to APA 7^th edition.

The APA 7 style is effective from 2020.

ARTICLE STRUCTURE REQUIREMENTS

Each submitted article should consist of the following parts:

ARTICLE STRUCTURE:

1. Title Page: The title page includes the title of the research paper, the author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), contact information, and the date of submission.
2. Abstract: The abstract provides a concise summary of the research, typically ranging from 150 to 250 words. It covers the research's objective, methodology, key results, and conclusion.
3. Keywords: Following the abstract, a list of relevant keywords, usually ranging from 3 to 6, is provided.
4. Introduction: The introduction sets the stage for the research by presenting the background and context. It includes a statement of the problem, the research question or hypothesis, the objectives of the research and emphasizes the importance of the research.
5. Literature Review: The literature review critically reviews existing literature related to the research topic. It identifies gaps in current knowledge and establishes the theoretical framework guiding the research.
6. Theoretical Framework (if applicable): In this section, the researcher explains the theoretical concepts that guide the research.
7. Research Methods: The research methods section provides an overview of the research design, participant or sample descriptions, details about data collection methods, data analysis techniques, and any ethical considerations.
8. Results: The results section presents the findings of the research. Tables, figures, and graphs may be used to enhance clarity.
9. Discussion: In the discussion section, the results are interpreted, compared with existing literature, and the implications of the findings are explored. The limitations of the research are also addressed.
10. Conclusion: The conclusion section summarizes the key findings, highlights the contribution to the field, and suggests avenues for future research.
11. References: The references section includes citations for all sources referenced in the paper, following a specific citation style (APA).
12. Appendices (if needed): If there are additional materials such as questionnaires, data sets, etc., they can be included in the appendices.

AUTHOR FEES

This journal charges the following author fees. Article Processing Charge “Choro-grafies”: 20.00 (€). If the paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Processing Charge. Waiver policy is not applicable.
